Military Airlifting has seen steady growth in the Asia-Pacific region due to the increase in natural disasters which have happened in the last couple of years. Airlifting has been used during the Christchurch Earthquake, Queensland Floods, Tsunami 2004, and Tsunami 2011 in Japan, Earthquakes in China and most recently during the Thailand Floods in November 2011. There is a growing need for regional Air Forces to improve their current airlifting capabilities with the latest modern military airlifters.
